His Bulgarian handlers who used an airline as a front were visible in photos of St. Peter's Square at the time of the assassination. They were there to kill him after the shooting. Bulgaria was linked to the Russian KGB and not Western Capitalist Elite.JBQhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09344181644293746758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1644690488802388716.post-64552065121857559882016-12-03T18:19:06.628-06:002016-12-03T18:19:06.628-06:00Moira: Thanks for the comment. I read it decades ago and never thought of it for this post.<br /><br />"Worldly" is an interesting word for the selection of a new pope. Certainly there is a "worldly" collection of cardinals. Undoubtedly "worldly" considerations are involved in their deliberations. I do not believe the "worldly" considerations decide the process.Bill Selneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17268006369157307593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1644690488802388716.post-43292257469144342422016-12-03T18:13:49.884-06:002016-12-03T18:13:49.884-06:00Margot: Thanks for the comment. Also there is a very strange book called Hadrian VII. Oh, and Pope Joan by Lawrence Durrell. More than I'd thought!<br />They all show a very worldly process for such a spiritual selection...Clothes In Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14680610242823846662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1644690488802388716.post-42964379919234884662016-12-03T06:23:32.177-06:002016-12-03T06:23:32.177-06:00Really interesting comparison, Bill, of these book...Really interesting comparison, Bill, of these books about conclaves. And to me, it's especially fascinating to see the different points of view about the church, about religion, and so on. Catholics are not homogeneous, any more than any group is, and it's interesting to see how that plays out. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
