I found myself thinking how many people could find themselves in this situation.Bill Selneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17268006369157307593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1644690488802388716.post-66873291060142488142012-04-07T14:29:10.527-06:002012-04-07T14:29:10.527-06:00Maxine: Thanks for the comment. There is a real life tension when all the parties - killer, victim and police - are part of the book.Bill Selneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17268006369157307593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1644690488802388716.post-69890394288105507162012-04-07T13:29:05.721-06:002012-04-07T13:29:05.721-06:00What an intriguing mystery. Usually I don´t much approve of stories seen from the point of view of the murderer, but this one sounds very different.Dorte Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14535044092722418173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1644690488802388716.post-18261967679278801252012-04-07T08:13:28.193-06:002012-04-07T08:13:28.193-06:00Sounds fascinating, Bill. I've recently finished Hakan Nesser's Cry of the Wolf, which deals with a similar topic - a man commits an accidental crime, and the book is about his reactions and subsequent actions, as well as the police investigation. It, too, is pretty tense (and funny, in parts).Maxine Clarkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06628509319992204770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1644690488802388716.post-3902770529277026582012-04-06T22:18:11.108-06:002012-04-06T22:18:11.108-06:00Margot: Thanks for your encouraging words. I really want to read the second in the series to see what characters Wright came up with for killer and victim.Bill Selneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17268006369157307593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1644690488802388716.post-23210214982624863872012-04-06T18:41:45.505-06:002012-04-06T18:41:45.505-06:00Bill - Thanks for this well-written and thoughtful...Bill - Thanks for this well-written and thoughtful review. This one's been on my list for a time now, and it's just been bumped up. I, too, find it both novel and refreshing when an author can actually make me feel conflicted about whether I want "the bad guy" - well, the murderer, anyway - caught.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
