The Glass Coffin by Gail Bowen
42. - 132.) The Glass Coffin by Gail Bowen - The 8th Joanne Kilborn mystery is set at Christmas time. The featured characters fly in from Toronto for a prairie winter wedding that turns bloody. Well plotted but probably the least connected of the series to Saskatchewan. It was a sharp contrast to Wilson's novel which was a Saskatchewan story. In further contrast to Wilson's novel the writing and dialogue of Bowen always rings true. I hope her next novel does not rely on brittle Toronto residents to provide the theme. Excellent. Hardcover. (Dec. 30/02)
